WindPaths innovative program enables Members to sail or relax on a brand new Catalina yacht a minimum of seven times per month. Members may choose a monthly or annual fee that is usually less than the cost of the marina slip and insurance fees alone. WindPath handles all aspects of maintenance, scheduling and refueling, as well as offering a comprehensive training program for new or inexperienced sailors.
Members schedule time slots via WindPaths proprietary, real-time online scheduling software. They can reserve time slots instantly and book future trips up to 12 months in advance.
All of WindPaths Catalinas are fully loaded with the options buyers and members desire the most. Some features of a typical yacht include an in-mast furling system, electric anchor windlass, wheel steering with auto pilot, extensive navigation pack – with GPS chart plotter and radar, dodger, flat screen television with DVD player and CD player.
WindPath of CAs fleet is based on the Catalina line of 30-50 foot yachts. The first yacht, a 2006 Catalina 34mkII, will be christened “Got Wind?” at Emery Cove Yacht Harbor, date to be announced. Plans to introduce WindPath to other California locations as well as around the US are also in the works.

Launched by Claude Drugan, an avid sailor, WindPath Sailing of CA delivers fractional use sailing to the San Francisco Bay Area. Claudes passion for sailing started at a very young age, when he sailed with his family on a friends sailboat on the Black Sea in Romania. This passion ignited a dream to have a boat his of own and cruise around the world. Claudes passion for sailing was then implanted into his wife, Sophia, later into his son, Stephan, and hopefully will continue with his expecting daughter (due in July 2006). Over the past 15 years, Claude and his family have been owners of two boats, and have sailed the US West Coast from Seattle, Washington to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. In addition, they have also chartered boats at different exotic locations around the world. After completion of his MBA at UC Berkeley, Claude decided to combine his business skills with his hobby and got involved with WindPath Sailing. In March 2006, Claude became the first WindPath Sailing base owner on the US West Coast. Claude plans to expand his base to other California and US West Coast locations in the coming years.
