MONACO - September 28th, 2006 – Fraser Yachts Worldwide and Blancpain watches would like to congratulate Captain Patrick Cowley of the M/Y Paraffin for winning the 2006 Best Charter Captain Competition.  In recognition of his efforts Captain Patrick was awarded Blancpains Monaco Yacht show limited series Léman, Chronographe Flyback steel watch.

Now in its fifth year, the event was held at the Monaco Yacht Club during the Monaco yacht show.  Members of the Fraser Yachts team from Monaco, Fort Lauderdale, California, Auckland, Milan, London and Greece gathered to celebrate the conclusion the 2006 charter year.  With over 80 captains in attendance, Fraser Yachts welcomed the opportunity to toast them for their hard work throughout the season.

In addition to announcing the winner of the Best Charter Captain Competition, Fraser Yachts and Blancpain introduced a new prize saluting the outstanding efforts of a captain over the course of several years.  This award of excellence was presented to Captain Gino Battaglio of the motor yacht Lady Lola.

“I am pleased to be able to publicly recognize the efforts of the captains in our fleet,” stated David Legrand, director of charter for Fraser Yachts Worldwide.  “Our captains work so hard day in and day out and it is wonderful to be able to get together at the end of the season and say thanks,” he said.

Fraser Yachts would also like to congratulate the crew of the M/Y Passion for winning the best charter crew over 40m.  For the first time there was a tie in the area of best charter crew under 40m.  The Fraser Yachts team would like to say well done to the crew of M/Y Freemont and the M/Y La Dolce Vita.
