ORLANDO, Fla. 03-27-2007 —Wyndham Vacation Ownership, the world's largest vacation ownership company and a member of the Wyndham Worldwide family of companies (NYSE: WYN), today announced it has re-flagged its premier Bonnet Creek Resort under the Wyndham banner.
Marking one of the first milestones in the recently announced re-branding initiative, Fairfield Orlando at Bonnet Creek Resort will change to Wyndham Bonnet Creek Resort and all exterior and interior signage, collateral and marketing materials will reflect the Wyndham brand. The property is affiliated with the company's FairShare Plus by Wyndham portfolio of vacation ownership resorts.
"Our world-class Wyndham Bonnet Creek Resort embodies the distinguished, upscale Wyndham brand," said Franz Hanning, Wyndham Vacation Ownership president and chief executive officer. "We're extremely proud to showcase our flagship resort to the community and our timeshare owners who rank Orlando as one of their most popular vacation destinations."
Wyndham Bonnet Creek opened in 2004, boasts more than 25,000 owners and currently has 294 condominium-style units.
Properties in Daytona Beach, Myrtle Beach, Washington D.C. and Missouri are also among the first to be re-flagged under the Wyndham brand. The company's headquarters now also reflect the new brand.
In October 2006, Wyndham Worldwide Corporation (NYSE: WYN) announced that it would re-brand its industry-leading timeshare companies – Fairfield Resorts, Trendwest Resorts and Trendwest South Pacific – under the Wyndham brand. The re-branding process is anticipated to occur over 12 months.
Collectively, these brands operate under Wyndham Vacation Ownership, one of the three business units that comprise Wyndham Worldwide.
