Historic Canterbury Becomes Companys Second Resort in Popular Urban Destination
ORLANDO, Fla. 10-24-2007 — Wyndham Vacation Ownership, the worlds largest vacation ownership company and a member of the Wyndham Worldwide family of companies (NYSE: WYN), today announced it has begun renovation of the historic Hotel Canterbury to transform the property into Wyndham Vacation Resorts San Francisco. It is anticipated the 115-unit urban resort will welcome its first guests in the fall of 2008 and will operate within the companys FairShare Plus by Wyndham program. This will be Wyndham Vacation Ownerships second resort in the city, joining WorldMark San Francisco.
The property is undergoing extensive renovation to what was previously the 70-year-old Canterbury Hotel and adjoining Whitehall Inn. The property was acquired by Wyndham Vacation Ownership from Chateau de Fleurs Real Estate LLC, 4407 Francis Real Estate LLC and Canterbury Real Estate LLC, all affiliates of The KOR Group. Once complete, the property will offer a combination of spacious one- and two-bedroom units as well as 20 luxurious one-, two- and three-bedroom Presidential suites. The resort will feature such amenities as a fitness center, business office and on-site restaurant.
