The Markers Golfers Residence Club Supports Rapid Membership Growth With Two New Directors

 

(ST. GEORGE, UTAH) – May 16, 2006 – The Markers, the first and only residence club created exclusively for the golf purist, today announced the appointment of two new co-directors of club membership to service their rapidly growing membership base. Golf veteran, Brett Wayment, and marketing veteran, Derek Miner, will join The Markers staff, providing sales and membership management. The Markers is the first concept of its kind, ultimately providing access to 36 luxury homes situated among the worlds most renowned golf destinations as well as a menu of exclusive golf experiences.

 

In his new post as co-director of club membership, Wayment will be involved with The Markers new ambassador referral program, which spreads the word about the club through PGA professionals, thereby recruiting new members. He will also be charged with creating opportunities for fostering new memberships and will be actively involved with closing new member leads generated by The Markers sales force. Wayment is no stranger to the game of golf, having played on several tours around the country over the past few years, garnering several wins including the 2001 Colorado Open, the 2003 Provo Open and recently the 2005 Sierra Vista Open. From 1994-1999 he served as the assistant golf professional at Logan Country Club located in Logan, Utah, at which time he was also in charge of the Utah State University mens golf team. Wayment attended Utah State University on a golf scholarship and received a degree in finance.

 

As co-director of club membership, Miner is charged with recruiting new members into the club through a network of avid golfers and contacts in the professional golf industry. He is also charged with providing in-depth information about the club and can arrange site tours for prospective members. Prior to joining The Markers, Miner created and maintained strategic relationships with many Fortune 500 companies including Sears, Dell, FedEx, AOL and Allstate on behalf of Enhance Interactive, a leading provider of pay-for-performance search engine marketing services, where he led the Strategic Accounts and Business Development teams. Derek earned his bachelors degree from Brigham Young University with an emphasis in industrial design and development, corporate identity and product design.

 

Both Wayment and Miner will base their operations out of the Markers Salt Lake City, Utah, office.
