SAN FRANCISCO – July 10, 2007 – The Ritz-Carlton Club and Residences, San Francisco is pleased to announce the appointment of Omar Said as general manager. In his new role, Said will oversee the daily operations of The Ritz-Carlton Club and Residences, San Francisco, scheduled to open this November.
Said has over 14 years of experience in hotel operations and residential property management with The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company. He has held senior management positions at AAA Five Diamond properties in the United States, Mexico and the Caribbean. Most recently, he was regional director of residences, responsible for corporate oversight and operations support for three condominium properties associated with The Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota and The Ritz-Carlton, Dallas.
A Mexico City native, Said holds a bachelors degree in hotel management and has completed work toward his masters of business administration degree at the University of South Florida. His wife, Amelia, and two daughters join him in the move to the Bay Area.
The Ritz-Carlton Club and Residences, San Francisco is centrally located in the heart of San Francisco - near Union Square, the financial district, and the famed shopping corridor of Market Street. Scheduled to open in November, the property is situated in the former Chronicle building, the West Coasts first skyscraper, built in 1890. It is currently undergoing a $90 million transformation in order to restore the original façade of brick and stone and will create 44 fractional and 57 wholly-owned residences. Recently, the property was recognized by Robb Report in its 2007 “Best of the Best” issue.
