Becomes first 135 carrier admitted to the standards organization
Columbus, OH (April 14, 2008) - NetJets® Aviation (NJA) became the first 135 operator, fractional or otherwise, to gain sustaining (full) membership in the Coordinating Agency for Supplier Evaluation (C.A.S.E.) Organization. C.A.S.E. is a non-profit organization established by certificated air carriers for the purpose of sharing non-prejudicial supplier data and information. NetJets Aviations admission received a unanimous vote and took place at the Spring 2008 C.A.S.E. Conference. Until this achievement by NetJets, the C.A.S.E. organizations membership was comprised of only commercial carriers and repair stations.
“C.A.S.E. membership gives NetJets Aviation access to the aviation industrys largest vendor audit database,” said Mark Bianchi, Executive Vice President, Aircraft Maintenance. “While this will help us save resources, full membership is also a significant vote of confidence in NetJets because now other member carriers will utilize NetJets Aviations audit findings. We appreciate the extensive dedication of our maintenance and quality assurance teams in helping our company achieve this milestone.”
Admittance into the C.A.S.E. organization required over a year of corporate commitment and extensive preparatory work by NetJets Aviations personnel, including Wilbur OConnor, Director, Maintenance Quality and Ben Scarcella, Manager, Quality Assurance who presented and defended NJAs application for membership. The comprehensive application process also required NetJets to build a Level II Auditor Training Program & Vendor Audit Procedures Manual as well as pass an onsite C.A.S.E. review of NJA Maintenance Quality Audit processes.
In his announcement, Michael Zikoski, Chairman of C.A.S.E. membership, praised NetJets Aviation for “taking the responsibility and dedication needed to achieve Sustaining Membership acceptance.”
NetJets Aviation joins 121 carriers and 145 repair stations from throughout the world, and the Department of Defense, as sustaining members. C.A.S.E. members whose quality control systems comply with C.A.S.E. program standards, exchange vendor/supplier audit information as determined by onsite technical audits by qualified member auditors. NJA will now be able to include audits accomplished by other member carriers and further support its Continuing Analysis and Surveillance (CAS) program through the wealth of data available in the C.A.S.E. vendor audit data base.
NetJets Aviation is a wholly owned subsidiary of NetJets Inc. The operations center is located in Columbus, Ohio. All aircraft offered fractionally in the United States, with the exception of the Gulfstream large cabin and BBJ fleets, are operated by NetJets Aviation.
