Ian Woosnam hosts NetJets Golf Clinic in Jersey

Ian Woosnam, Captain of the 2006 European Ryder Cup Team, will host a golf competition and clinic with fellow clients of Europe's leading private jet operator, NetJets. The event, taking place on Thursday 3rd August at La Moye Golf Club, St Brelade, will see amateur golfers fly in from Bulgaria, Dublin and London to test their skills against one of Europe's biggest stars.

The golf day is the first NetJets client event to be held in Jersey and signals the operator's increased activity on the island. It is just one of a series of client events that NetJets owners are invited to. Previous events have included private concerts with some of the world's biggest stars like U2, and events with sporting heroes including Tim Henman, Roger Federer, Ronaldo and Annika Sorenstam.

Chris Moody, Senior Vice President, NetJets Europe commented "Many of our clients reside in Jersey and we're pleased to offer our clients this great day of golf at La Moye with Ian Woosnam".

NetJets is very popular amongst both golf enthusiasts and professionals. Many of the world's golfers, choose to fly to courses around the world with NetJets rather than experience the delays, red-tapes and long-transfer times often endured when flying commercially. For instance, NetJets reported over 50 flights in and out of Merseyside during the Open Golf Championships held at Hoylake in July 2006.

Over 1000 European customers have taken advantage of the benefits NetJets offers. NetJets guarantee availability of a jet within 24 hours and will fly from wherever the client wants, whenever they want to fly. Prices start at £85,000 and customers pay only for hours in the air. There are no additional jet positioning fees making NetJets the ideal choice for those based in Jersey, which is less well serviced by traditional airlines and jet charter companies.
