GREENWICH, CT, July 1, 2009 CitationShares, a private aviation company, today announced new partnerships with two organizations: TerraPass, a leading retailer of carbon offsets and consumer energy efficiency products, and Corporate Angel Network (CAN), a public charity that arranges free flights for cancer patients.
Through CitationShares' partnership with CAN, CitationShares customers will be able to donate flight hours aboard CitationShares jets to a CAN Jet Card account for use at their discretion for cancer patients in need of transportation. Through TerraPass, customers will be able to balance their "carbon footprint" by purchasing carbon offsets for the hours they fly on a CitationShares jet.
"TerraPass demonstrates a key component of our evolving environmental strategy," said Woody Harford, Senior Vice President, Chief Revenue Officer, "and CAN affords our clients a way to directly impact the lives of others through their relationship with CitationShares."
TerraPass and CAN are the latest of many programs from CitationShares that take steps to address areas that are important to its customers and employees. CitationShares recently placed second in the Earth Day Commuter Challenge race with a 61 percent participation rate by employees. Later this summer, the company will be receiving an award from the Connecticut Department of Transportation for this effort to create a better environment.
