CLEARWATER, Fla. – August 25, 2011 – Avantair, Inc., (OTCBB: AAIR), the only publicly traded, stand-alone private aircraft operator, announced that Thomas Ensign has joined the company as Pacific Northwest regional sales manager. Avantair, Inc. is the leader of fractional aircraft ownership and flight hour time cards in the light jet cabin category.
In his new role, Ensign will work to maintain and grow Avantair sales in the Pacific Northwest, including Western Canada. Ensign joins Avantair from Financial Services Training Institute, LLC, where he served as chief operating officer. In his previous position, in addition to providing professional sales process enhancement training, he oversaw business operations and marketing initiatives, collaborating with legal and financial professionals to ensure accuracy, data relevance and legal continuity for all financial and tax reporting directives. Ensign’s extensive experience with high net worth clients will be critical to the success of Avantair in the Pacific Northwest. Ensign will report to Executive Vice President of Sales John Colucci.
Ensign has more than two decades of experience in financial planning, including tenures at Ameriprise Financial Services, Provest Management Group and Miller Ensign Bigson and Co.. While at Ameriprise, Ensign led expansion efforts by creating, building and growing its employee channel Private Wealth planning division. He also earned “Best Practices” honors for the creation and implementation of his full-service family office financial planning system for high net worth individuals, including professional athletes. As the founder and president of Miller Ensign Gibson and Co., Ensign grew the company into an exceptional financial service provider resulting in annual fees and commissions exceeding $1 million.
Ensign earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Economics at The Ohio State University.
